The Doña Maria’s Taqueria experience can be summed up in three words: Fresh, Fast, and Friendly. We cook all of our food from scratch throughout the day. Everything we make – from our hand-squeezed key lime on our ceviche to our traditional homemade guacamole, to our unique selection of complimentary salsas – and our mother’s famous flour tortillas, is prepared in small batches, guaranteeing that it is served at the peak of freshness.
Our menu centers around a variety of Guisados or Mexican braises incorporating our perfectly seasoned chicken, al pastor (marinated pork), tender pork/carnitas, sizzling grilled steak and fresh fish & shrimp. Don’t leave without trying our signature Pozole, Chilles Rellenos, Machaca and our famous fish and crispy tacos! All unique recipes from Doña Maria.

We prepare your food when you order it, right in front of you at our walk up show kitchen. You choose your tortilla type (corn or flour) freshly made before your eyes and a protein that is braised, grilled, or fried to order. There’s something for everyone at Doña Maria’s. You won’t find better Mexican Taqueria Restaurant “street food” anywhere in the Tampa Bay area, our goal is to satisfy your taste for authentic Mexican flavors and in some cases introduce what real Mexican food is.
